How to Maintain Peace of Mind with a Braindump
Hello from Tokyo!
Since I started my new job as a data scientist, I got much busier. Sometimes, I’ve had to work from 9 until 22, which might be more common here in Japan. (I’m curious, is this normal in your country?)
I’ve been feeling frustrated because having to work for so many hours takes my time for creating more Youtube videos, writing articles and making online courses.
I understand I cannot go on like this for long, but I think I’m going to stick with this job for at least a year.
To manage my stress, I find journaling extremely helpful. Especially brain dumping - the process of writing down everything in your mind - has become an essential part of my morning and evening.
Every morning, I open Roam and ask myself: “What’s on my mind?”
Then I just write down anything that comes up in my head. It might be things that I’m excited about, worried about, stressed about or angry about.
You might not believe me, but dumping everything in your mind like this really helps you maintain peace of mind.
Stay safe!

I liked this article by Benjamin Hardy, who is one of my favourite writers.
If you want to operate at an INSPIRED and powerful level, you need time, first thing in the morning, to connect with yourself. You need to reconnect with your PURPOSE, and you need to connect with God.
Since I have to work from 9 til late, morning is the only time I can spend on my side projects like Youtube. Waking up at 5am has been helping me reconnect with my actual purposes.
